  1. Chop vegetables into small pieces.

  2. Place single layers lettuce, onions, peas, celery, green pepper, and cauliflower.

  3. Spread layer of miracle whip or mayonnaise on top of vegetables.

  4. Let stand several hours or over night.

  5. Sprinkle cheese and bacon bits on top before serving.
