Cream butter and sugar.
Beat in eggs.
Add vanilla and dry ingredients.
Knead and add flour as needed to keep dough from sticking to hands.
Pinch off dough.
Roll in hands to form a log, than twirl into a shape.
Place on greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 375°F for about 10 minutes.
Allow cookies to cool off so icing doesn't melt off.
Stir all icing ingredients until creamy.
Dip cookies into icing, and sprinkle with colored sugar or jimmies (sprinkles).
Place on a wire rack with wax paper underneath on counter to collect dripping icing and jimmies or sugar.
