  1. Combine the wine, sugar, cinnamon, peppercorns, and lemon zest in a saucepan and reduce over medium high heat.

  2. Heat about 12 to 15 minutes until ingredients turn into a syrup.

  3. Remove the cinnamon, lemon zest, and peppercorns with a slotted spoon and discard.

  4. Add the peach halves and turn to coat in the wine sauce.

  5. Spoon the wine covered peaches into dishes and top them with ice cream

  4. 1 or 2 strips of lemon zest
  5. 2 large ripe peaches, pitted and halved
  6. 1 1/2 cup red wine
