Combine the wine, sugar, cinnamon, peppercorns, and lemon zest in a saucepan and reduce over medium high heat.
Heat about 12 to 15 minutes until ingredients turn into a syrup.
Remove the cinnamon, lemon zest, and peppercorns with a slotted spoon and discard.
Add the peach halves and turn to coat in the wine sauce.
Spoon the wine covered peaches into dishes and top them with ice cream
